Classroom mission statement

CEC3 Environment and culture: This is read by a new leader each week. Most of the kids have the mission memorized. We refer to the mission if a problem arises or if we need to refocus our actions or attitudes.

Classroom norms

CEC3 Classroom Environment and Culture
Classroom routines and rituals Discuss, collaboration and accountability

Students read norms and class mission each day. This helps create a vision of the environment we want present in the classroom.

Student talk and scaffolding of learning

CP6 Curriculum and Pedagogy-Scaffolds the task. By providing a set procedure for students to follow when approaching  problem solving tasks students are able to persist in their effort to solve the problem.
