Weekly Letter Home

Dear Parents,

This week has been really fun! We are going to tell you a few different things we have done this week. First we are finishing our native american writing. This has taken us a long time but we are becoming better writers. All of us are typing our drafts up using our typing skills we have been practicing. Another thing we have been learning is math. In math we have learned about how to solve for missing digits. We learned what the different numbers are called in an addition problem. Finally we have been learning the 6th habit called synergy. Synergy means that we work hard together to create something better then what we could have created on our own.  Now you know all about our week.

Sincerely,

Your Third Grader

Letter Home

Dear Parents,

We have been doing good in school. In writing we are still working on our Native American drafts. It is a lot of writing. Another thing we worked on this work is reaching 20% of our AR goal. Most of us reached this goal by reading every night and being sure to take quizzes. Ask me about how I am doing!  Some of us applied for school jobs. Ella is the new birthday greeter and Johnna will be playing the piano in the morning. Finally we have learned about habit 6 Synergy. Synergy means working together to accomplish more. To get to Synergy we have to use habit 1,2,3,4,5. I can tell you all about it if you ask me. Thanks for reading.

Sincerely,

Your Third Grade Leader

Halloween Party

Please send your child with food from your tribe for tomorrows Party. The Northwest Coastal tribe will be providing us with Smoked salmon and dried berries. It is fine to use your imagination and have certain food items represent Native food. In years past we have students bring jerky, buffalo meat, pemmican, a jello brain, berries, juice, squash, corn bread, and other interesting foods. Also students may ask for materials they may need to build their homes. Blankets or sheets. Also remember students are welcome to wear their costume all day as long as it has to do with their tribe.

Thanks,

Justin

Dear Parents,

It has been an awesome week. To begin with we finished our work on the human body. We learned how the body moves. Our body uses muscles and ligaments to make our bones move. The bones have joints between them. Some of the joints are called, ball and socket, universal, hinge joints. Can you believe that our blood is from the largest bone in our body called the femur. Another thing we did this week is begin to create our native mask. It is going to be so cool. We will make them in art next week .If you want to help please let Mr. Grillo know.

Sincerely,

Third Grade Students
